The Idea #
So, as I’m learning to make local multiplayer games with Godot an idea came to my mind: make and publish my first multiplayer game –maybe a Game 2 in the GameDevTV Game 1, 2, 3 Framework. I want to apply all that I’ve learned to do in my latest projects (including the 20 Games Challenge, the GameDevTV Ultimate Indie Seminar, and of course the last couple of game jams I’ve taken part in).
Right now I’m on the design and planning stage, and I hope to jump into my favorite engine (Godot) to prototype and test the idea.
As you can see in the image above the initial idea is to develop a game mechanic based in collaboration for at least two players that can individually thrust themselves by farting so they can reach higher altitudes that couldn’t be reach by simply jumping. The loop would be focused on gathering resources, materials needed for their ship and for themselves: minerals and beans. The main resorce should be beans that feed their farts and power up their individual thrusters. Yeah, it’s going to be a bit of a comedic approach as I can never take myself nor conflicts too seriously. This in my head serves two purposes: makes you laugh awhile catching some attention and because the players represent soldiers it also makes fun the absurdity of the most stupid human creation: war.
This might be my most ambitous solo project yet. I hope you join me in this new journey and share at least a laugh with me and of course get interested in my games and play a couple of them. Also if you feel like leaving feedback please do so by reaching out through Bluesky, Mastodon, or Email. I’ll do my best to keep this log updated and answer any questions you migh have.
